Over the last 20 years Andrew Gifford's paintings & light installations have explored the complex relationship between natural and artificial light. The Parade in Winter series charts the competing light sources, as the sun sets and street lights are illuminated.
Gifford's paintings represent the reality of a landscape as it appears in our minds; a 10 month investigation to comprehend the poetry of a split second of our daily lives.
